Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound calls and emails regarding tax-related inquiries with clarity, professionalism, and empathy.
- Aid clients in understanding IRS notices or state tax agency communications.
- Provide updates on case progress and assist clients in managing their expectations.
- Use active listening and de-escalation techniques to support clients facing financial stress.
- Coordinate with tax professionals and case managers for consistent and accurate communication.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and case notes in our system.
- Help clients upload, submit, or gather required tax documentation.
- Stay updated on relevant tax deadlines and company procedures through ongoing training.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information discreetly.
- Adapt to new information, processes, and system updates in a dynamic work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or Associate in business, finance, accounting, legal studies, or related field with significant experience).
- 1-2 years of customer service experience (preferably in a call center, financial, tax, or related field).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable discussing financial or tax-related matters with clients.
- Calm and composed under pressure, especially in high-stress client situations or tight deadlines.
- Tech-savvy and capable of navigating CRM systems and internal databases.
- Able to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to learn new concepts and tools quickly and apply feedback in real time.
- Able to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced environment with high call volume and changing client needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and client-first mindset.
Qualifications
- Experience in a customer service role, preferably in a call center, financial, tax, or related setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Confidence in discussing financial or tax-related matters with clients.
- Composure and ability to remain calm under pressure, especially in high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in using technology, including CRM systems and internal databases.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- An empathetic and client-focused approach.

Pay
Salary range: $X - $Y per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
