About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency’s Employee Health and Benefits team is seeking a passionate, people-oriented customer service professional to develop, implement, and deliver outstanding insurance and risk management service to our clients. As a Client Manager, you will ensure a smooth client experience by managing day-to-day customer service interactions and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships. We provide mentorship, training, resources, and development to support your success, but you will need to bring the drive and desire to excel as an MMA professional. Our ideal candidate is hungry, humble, and smart—committed to excellence and driven to do what’s best for clients, colleagues, and communities. We believe every team member plays a vital role in our shared success and collaborate with intention in every interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming service requests from customers and carriers.
  • Manage new and renewal insurance marketing, including negotiating with carriers, preparing presentation and proposal materials, collecting customer information, and ordering insurance policies.
  • Provide customers with insurance coverage analysis and recommendations for improved or additional coverage.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records in our agency management system.
  • Identify and follow through on up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with colleagues.
  • Ensure effective and efficient customer service across your designated sales and service team.
  • Follow organization policies, procedures, sales and service standards, and established workflows.
  • Ensure quality control through proper file documentation and maintenance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and contribute positively as a team member.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in client service, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer support.
  • Strong business and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people even on challenging days.
  • A team player who maintains positive relationships with colleagues and enjoys collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to accuracy and completeness in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and carriers.
  • Eager to learn and pursue professional development.
  • Adaptable to industry changes and evolving client needs.
  • Alignment with our core values: accountability, balance, excellence, integrity, respect, and humanity.

We encourage candidates who may not check every box but are closely aligned with these qualifications to apply.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package, including base pay determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education.
  • Eligibility for performance-based incentives and annual profit sharing.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including paid paternity/maternity leave, medical leave, 401K savings, and wellbeing programs.

Decisions on compensation and benefits are made on a case-by-case basis.
