About the role

The Client Manager (CM) on the Employee Health & Benefits team at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is responsible for managing a book of business to ensure each client's welfare benefit plan needs and goals are met. This role offers the opportunity to work independently and build relationships with clients, while also receiving support from senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of business to ensure client welfare benefit plan needs and goals are met
  • Closely review initial work with VP or SVPs / assigned Partners to ensure a high quality and timely work product
  • Work out of any of MMA's Michigan offices in Grand Rapids, Livonia, or Troy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a degree in business, human resources, health care administration, communication, or other related area a plus
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the welfare benefit plan industry, working for an employer, insurer/administrator, or broker
  • Knowledge of group insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability products)
  • Effective relationship-building and public speaking skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task, with the ability to work independently and be detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred
