About the Role

The Client Manager supports Producers, Client Advocates, Client Executives, Senior Client Managers, and the account team to manage client service delivery throughout the insurance renewal and policy period for an assigned book of business, primarily comprised of Charter Schools. This client-facing role focuses on enhancing and expanding large and complex client relationships using professional skills in commercial property and casualty insurance. The position coordinates service activity and is a key member of the client service team, responsible for delivering program-level strategy and providing consultation to clients.

This role requires a hybrid work schedule (3 days a week in office) out of either the Dallas, Austin, or Houston offices.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, mail, and email in a professional and courteous manner, adhering to agency guidelines.
  • Maintain proper file documentation, including all phone calls, correspondence, faxes, and emails in Sagitta and Image Right.
  • Prioritize workflow and follow standard procedures for processing applications, policy changes, renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations.
  • Accurately process policy changes on carrier websites or via email, and follow up with carriers to ensure timely processing of applications and policy changes.
  • Assume ownership of customer concerns and feedback until a successful resolution is achieved.
  • Review client exposures, loss experience, and current coverage to provide proactive solutions and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Remarket accounts according to agency guidelines, evaluating the current program and providing alternative options to clients when warranted.
  • Assist with soliciting new accounts and retaining existing ones, identifying new sales opportunities through cross-selling.
  • Comply with all internal procedures and practices while meeting service performance and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively within the team, contributing to the team effort by openly sharing insurance knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of prior Commercial Insurance experience.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to assess insurance coverage needs.
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills to resolve client issues.
  • Articulate, well-organized, and focused with a goal-oriented and highly motivated mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Broker’s license is required.
  • Insurance designation preferred.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant company proprietary databases.
  • Experience with an agency management system such as Sagitta is a plus.
