Client Engagement Terms Senior Analyst

About the role
The Client Engagement Terms Senior Analyst plays an integral role in assisting the Firm in managing and responding to the evolving landscape of client-driven requests and engagement terms, including Outside Counsel Guidelines (“OCG”), Due Diligence Questionnaires (“DDQ”), Requests for Proposal (“RFP”), and modifications to the Firm’s standard engagement letter. This role works closely with Firm management, partners, and relevant department personnel to review and analyze documents and data, execute projects, and perform functions related to maintaining and analyzing client relationships.
The Senior Client Engagement Terms Analyst assists with the end-to-end client contracting process, including intake of new client requests and terms, coordination of cross-functional reviews, tracking of client contracts through execution, and ongoing internal reporting through the Firm’s Business Intake System (“BIS”). The role involves direct liaison with the Firm’s Partners, Client Engagement Committee members, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Analyze documents and data, interpret results, summarize findings, and present to partners and management for effective decision-making.
- Review and analyze OCG and other client engagement terms (e.g., master retention agreements) to identify relevant issues of concern to the Firm and draft internal and external-facing responses.
- Review and analyze DDQ and RFP, manage the collection of cross-functional information, and draft internal and external-facing responses.
- Support the new business intake process by confirming operative OCG-driven engagement terms through the BIS to facilitate conflicts of interest clearance and the drafting of Firm engagement letters.
- Leverage available technology resources (e.g., A.I./Machine Learning, SQL-based queries, Firm Dashboard) to assist in analysis of OCG and DDQ/RFP-related assignments.
- Serve as a resource and central point of contact regarding OCG and DDQ/RFP-related content.
- Update departmental documentation relating to OCG and DDQ/RFP analysis.
- Review documentation and create database records summarizing OCG-related terms; perform ongoing maintenance of the related database, including escalation of outstanding records.
- Respond to inquiries and requests from attorneys, legal assistants, and other business services professionals using effective communication.
- Handle multiple client analysis projects and collaborate with management, partners, and other Firm stakeholders across departments to achieve the Firm’s objectives.
- Liaise with various Firm personnel and administrative departments, including Client Accounting, to complete assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of four years of law firm experience.
- Excellent close-reading, analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.
- Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software and operating systems (e.g., Aderant Expert, A.I., relational databases).
- Close attention to detail.

Pay
The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range of $115,000 - $125,000. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
