Client Care Specialist (2nd Shift Shift Differential) - Part Time

The Rescue Mission is seeking a 2nd Shift Part Time Client Care Specialist to work from 3:30pm-10:00pm in their Syracuse Emergency Shelter.

Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
Utilize Rescue Mission resources to ensure a healthy and pleasant stay
Develop rapport with clients and provide support, encouragement, and motivation
Participate as a team player to provide the best possible care for clients
Complete rounds, monitor facilities, facilitate drug and breathalyzer tests, give out personal care items and bedding, enforce guidelines as appropriate, and refer clients to appropriate internal services
Treat clients with respect and dignity
Share pertinent client information via documentation, meetings, and on an individual basis as needed, maintaining confidentiality
Complete trainings within 30 days of assignment

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associates degree in human services or related field or equivalent work experience preferred
Experience working with homeless, addicted, and/or mentally ill clients desired
Must follow CDC guidance including wearing a mask when working
Full vaccination and boosted (when eligible) against Covid-19 is strongly encouraged

Starting Pay rate - $18.50 per hour.
2nd Shift Differential (1:00pm – 11:30pm) – Additional $1.00 per hour.
