About the role

Provides investment advice in a virtual environment with an assigned book of business. Consults with clients to uncover needs and provide opportunities to add value. Demonstrates how particular investment solutions match client's individual needs, using a wide range of investment solutions to help build an investment portfolio. Ensures compliance with all regulations and the Truist Code of Conduct for all business transactions and practices within the individual's span of control.

Responsibilities

  • Handles inbound calls from clients independently while identifying sales opportunities.
  • Answers client questions within set standards.
  • Consults with clients to uncover needs and provide value through holistic financial management.
  • Demonstrates how investment solutions align with client needs to build tailored investment strategies.
  • Leverages technology for client communication, portfolio strategy, and presentations.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations and the Truist Code of Conduct.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on bank/line-of-business products.
  • Conducts research on moderately complex customer issues, interprets policies and procedures, and may act as a working leader.
  • Assists in training less experienced Financial Advisors in areas of expertise.
  • Collaborates within small groups (pods) of Financial Advisors to partner with Premier Bankers, Preferred Advisors, and Retail Banking leadership for training and referrals.
  • May manage an individual book of business.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of retail brokerage or securities industry experience.
  • Strong communication, sales, presentation, and organizational skills with an emphasis on proactive outbound calling.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic financial planning and asset allocation techniques.
  • Sufficient knowledge of essential systems to assist in trade execution.
  • Highly organized with expertise in essential systems, policies, procedures, and investment products and services.
  • Series 7 and 66 or equivalent registrations required.
  • Insurance licenses required to sell Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Fixed Annuities, and Variable Annuities.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CFP, CFA, or CIMA certification.
