Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer relationships by preparing for interactions, establishing rapport, and using open/closed-ended questions to understand financial goals.
- Match customer needs to Seacoast Bank products and services, explaining them confidently and proficiently.
- Enhance relationships based on customer needs and ask for referrals from new and existing customers.
- Demonstrate strong listening skills, clear communication, and prompt responsiveness to customer needs.
- Balance business needs with customer requests while managing potential risk to the bank.
- Stay updated on industry changes and embrace new technology to foster innovation.
- Participate in community, charitable, or civic events and deliver presentations on banking products/services at networking events.
- Collaborate with branch associates and across the organization to develop trusting and cooperative working relationships.
- Acquire NMLS registration status and develop proficiency in consumer deposit/lending products and small business deposit/lending processes.
- Conduct outbound calling and identify referral opportunities with internal business partners.
- Build proficiency in Treasury Management solutions and small business lending needs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in customer-facing technology and enroll customers in self-service products/processes.
- Open and process accounts, perform maintenance, handle checks, cash, and negotiable instruments while adhering to bank policies and mitigating fraud risk.
- Escalate customer concerns and ensure branch adherence to AML/BSA requirements, operational procedures, and audit expectations.
- Follow up on audit, scorecard, or QC deficiencies and practice ethical sales behaviors.
- Balance cash drawer daily, monitor accuracy, and resolve customer objections or problems in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and follow all safety and security procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience (preferred).
- College degree (preferred).
- 2+ years of financial services experience (required).
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional non-bank operational hours.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise initiative.
- Proficiency in desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone devices, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
