About the role
The Client Accountant manages full-cycle accounting processes for multiple clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cash management, and account reconciliation. This role collaborates closely with clients and property management teams to resolve accounting issues, maintain financial integrity, and support effective financial oversight and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including cash management, accounts payable and receivable, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages in accordance with internal controls and client requirements.
- Organize and prioritize high-volume workloads across multiple client accounts.
- Prepare and review fixed asset ledgers to ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation.
- Calculate and record straight-line rent according to client requirements.
- Apply established financial policies and escalate inconsistencies to management.
- Research accounting issues and communicate findings effectively.
- Collaborate with clients and property management teams to address accounting matters promptly.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Perform additional accounting and related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- College degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Some accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience with accounting or database software preferred.
- Basic knowledge of commercial real estate preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Client-focused approach with strong financial management, organizational, and time-management abilities.
Pay
Salary range: $51,000–$60,000 per year.
