Clerk-Operations-1st Shift
About the role
This position is a critical role ensuring the accurate and on-time receipt of inbound loads and outbound customer shipments. You will collaborate with multiple departments within the facility, the Electrolux RDC Advocate Team, Electrolux Sourced Deployment Team, International Transportation Team, and Ryder Load Planners. Close communication with the operations team is required to maintain compliance with quality standards, procedures, policies, and deadlines, as well as to resolve any issues. The role demands a sense of urgency to meet high service levels and includes understanding the inventory layout, coordinating with clamp operators and carriers, and effectively using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to generate picklists, put-away lists, load sheets, and outbound BOLs.
This role is located in our Fairburn, GA RDC location and supports the production line following production needs. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Monitor merchandise received and shipped from the facility, including identifying shortages and overages.
- Log inbound and outbound discrepancies such as wrong product, incorrect quantity, and damages.
- Prepare routine reports and file shipping/receiving documents to coordinate damaged and defective products, ensuring proper accounting and handling.
- Communicate with the Front Office clerk for ordering office supplies and control access to the receiving/loading dock by unauthorized individuals.
- Work collaboratively with various departments, maintaining a flexible attitude to support organizational goals.
- Understand the inventory layout and effectively communicate with inbound/outbound clamp operators and carriers for pick-up and drop-off schedules.
- Use WMS to generate and create shipping/receiving documents, including pick-lists, put-away lists, load sheets, and outbound BOLs.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in Shipping/Receiving Office Clerk responsibilities.
- Operational experience is preferred.
- Understanding of SAP and experience working with a variety of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on results.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills.
- Creative problem solver, ready to take ownership of assigned duties in a timely manner.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP, Warehouse Management Systems, SAP, etc.
- Flexibility to work standard shifts as well as extended business hours depending on customer needs.

Physical Demands
- Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck.
- Lifting up to 50+ pounds and adjusting body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
- Good sense of balance and strong eye-hand-foot coordination.
- Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on the season.
