About the role
We are seeking a Maintenance Clerk / Purchasing Administrator to join our team at our Van Nuys, CA bakery.
Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders, negotiating pricing, and ensuring accounting compliance
- Maintain spare parts inventory accuracy, service levels, and inventory turns to support equipment uptime and reliability
- Utilize SAP CMMS to track inventory, reduce costs, and support maintenance planning and execution
- Cook up coordination receiving, stocking, and physical movement of maintenance materials and spare parts
- Generate and deliver weekly and monthly purchasing, inventory, and budget reports to department leadership
- Support maintenance policies, procedures, and World Class Manufacturing principles within the maintenance storeroom
- Represent the company professionally when working with vendors, suppliers, and external contractors
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to prepare routine reports and communicate effectively with employees and vendors
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Access)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or industrial plant environment
- Experience managing maintenance storerooms, inventory metrics, and purchasing processes
- Familiarity with Crystal Report Writer
- Experience supporting capital projects and maintenance budgeting activities
Skills
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Access)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Hourly Rate: $21.00 – $23.25

Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 6AM – 2:30PM
Weekend Availability: As needed, days off Saturday & Sunday
