What This Position is All About

Under direction from the Alterations Manager, the Alterations Clerical is responsible for supporting the Alterations Department to ensure timely and efficient daily operations of the workroom while providing customer service and helping to maintain customer relationships and working effectively with other team members within the store.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Verbal & Written communication skills: phone, email and interactions with customers and Associates are effective & professional
• Ability to handle office equipment
• Knowledge of Fashion Industry including garment construction, fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise
• Knowledge of ordering supplies and scheduling
• Fashion Design degree preferred but not required

Skills

• Ability to assist with fittings, sewing, pressing, spotting garments and stock repairs
• To assume full responsibility of the workroom in absence of an Alterations manager
• To monitor and ensure alterations tickets/tasks/receipts/waived fees/marks are accurate and comply with company standards
• To utilize daily Alterations reports to ensure timely completion of the garments
• To inspect garments to ensure quality completion of all tasks
• To assist daily to maintain stock repair standards
• To able to ring Alterations
• To assist with month end alterations reports

Pay

Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
