Cleared Senior/Principal Electromechanical Technologist - Explosives Component Manufacturing, Onsite
About the role
We are seeking an Electromechanical Technologist in the Explosive Component Manufacturing Science and Technology department for process and equipment optimization, and assembly of components. On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Execute internal manufacturing activities including MQ deliverables and experimental work
- Perform resistance welding, laser welding, cleaning, explosive powder pressing, explosive handling, soldering and other hands-on operations
- Support or implement corrective or preventive actions
- Be involved with new process/equipment development and qualification
- Perform initial diagnostics on nonconformances, monitor area health, identify ways to increase yields and mistake proof processes
- Seek out and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement
- Implement new manufacturing technologies or equipment

Requirements
- Aceessory degree in a STEM-related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- An active DOE Q Clearance, or equivalent is required to start

- Associate's degree in a STEM-related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- An active DOE Q Clearance, or equivalent is required to start
- Experience in a production environment applying rigorous processes
- Hands-on experience in methods such as resistance welding, laser welding, leak checking, soldering, and powder pressing
- Experience in laboratory operations conducting hands-on operations
- Experience working in a flexible, team environment
- Experience with hazardous operations
- Background or experience in working with explosive technologies and engineering applications
- Developing manufacturing processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range $74,700 - $144,400 Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
