About the role

Cleared Security Escorts are needed to provide escorting services for PGI's customers in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves escorting and monitoring visitors to secure sites, ensuring access control through identification verification, inspecting visitors and their belongings, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve knowledge of written post orders, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Espouse and monitor visitors to and in designated areas within the site, including access control through confirmation of identification, conducting inspection of visitors and hand-carried items.
  • Maintain visitor access logs in accordance with post orders and/or company guidance.
  • Report and/or respond to incidents, security, and safety concerns in accordance with established post orders.
  • Guide, follow, observe, and direct individuals throughout the site.
  • Prevent the disclosure/loss of sensitive or confidential information.
  • Auxiliary in controlling physical and electronic locks, unlocking/locking doors and areas.
  • Prevent theft of physical or intellectual property.
  • Auxiliary in promoting communication and awareness of data center security policies to client employees, vendors, contractors, and others.
  • Execute and deliver various reports assigned by the Cleared Security Escort Manager.
  • Complete and maintain pre-assignment, client, State, and PGI sustainment training as directed.
  • Auxiliary in team collateral duties.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one (1) year as a security escort, or one year of local, state, or federal law enforcement experience.
  • A minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Ability to complete a security officer training course and conduct regularly scheduled sustainment training.
  • Ability to operate various security screening related equipment.
  • Reliable transportation during all seasons.
  • Firm grasp on the use and implementation of technology, programs, and applications on data bearing devices.
  • Strong ability to learn new technology systems and programs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work through user level issues with technology platforms and applications.
  • Ability to demonstrate professional communication via verbal, written, and email correspondence.
  • A High School diploma or GED.
  • To complete Security Guard Certification, including the application process, fingerprints, and background investigation.
  • To pass a pre-employment drug screen and periodic random drug screening.

Qualifications

  • A current State-issued Security Guard Certification.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of honorable military service, active or reserve, in any branch of the US Armed Forces.
  • Two (2) years of security, military, or law enforcement experience.
  • Demonstrated history of safe and successful security operations experience in highly secure facilities.
  • Previous experience operating a Walk-Through Metal Detector, hand-held metal detector and hand-held radio.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to bend at the waist, knees.
  • Must have the physical ability to perform a variety of training functions.
  • Must be physically capable of standing an 8-hour post.
