Trellix is supporting a critical U.S. Public Sector customer in the planning, deployment, migration, operation, and sustainment of key endpoint security systems comprised of Trellix and third-party technologies, with a focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).

The Cybersecurity Engineer (CSE) will report to the Senior Manager of the Professional Services Delivery team and serve as an onsite professional services consultant. You will focus on daily deployments, operations, and maintenance of Trellix solutions in the customer environment, acting as a cybersecurity Subject-Matter Expert and advising the customer on cybersecurity matters.

You will communicate, coordinate, and facilitate problem resolution and other customer issues with Trellix Customer Success Managers, Technical Support Engineers, and Professional Services management. The role involves collaborating with diverse stakeholders to create technical project plans, schedules, test plans, deployment plans, and migration plans to evolve the customer’s systems to next-generation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring successful delivery of services.
• Deploy, integrate, and operationalize Trellix’s Endpoint Detection and Response capabilities across a broad enterprise.
• Write technical documentation and briefings, and lead or participate in technical exchange meetings.
• Collaborate with end users, inter-agency, intra-agency, and internal Trellix stakeholders.
• Develop engineering artifacts such as system design diagrams, data flow diagrams, test plans, and test reports.
• Lead or participate in development testing, debugging, pre-deployment testing, and post-deployment testing.
• Lead or participate in certification and accreditation, access and authorization processes, and deployment planning and execution.
• Analyze technical and integration requirements, develop technical solutions for customer review, and integrate approved solutions into the customer’s infrastructure.
• Lead or participate in system configuration, tuning, and policy development.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and playbooks.
• Monitor and manage system health, status, availability, and functionality.
• Report on technical problems, operational problems, and end-user/customer feedback.
• Analyze data and provide recommendations for solutions to operational or technical problems.
• Lead or participate in technical troubleshooting efforts, including log reviews, triage, and communication with product support and development teams.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph.
• 100% on-site delivery at the customer site in Ft. Meade, MD.
• Active DoD 8140/8570 compliant cybersecurity certification.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical capacity, preferably in large-scale operational environments focusing on cyber defense, incident analysis, defensive capabilities, and security solution design and implementation.
• Experience with Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS), ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Threat Intelligence Exchange (TIE), and Data Exchange Layer (DXL).
• Experience with Active Directory, databases, virtualization, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and enterprise networks.
• Familiarity with cyber threat identification, management, mitigation, and response strategies.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in a related technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering).
• Self-motivated and passionate about cybersecurity and information technology.
• Experience with enterprise network technology planning, deployment, user migration, and operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Aptitude and ability to develop expertise with Trellix products.
