Cleaning Specialist - #63162

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours per week) in Fort Lauderdale.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors and surfaces using prescribed cleaning methods and procedures.
• Mix appropriate proportions of cleaning and disinfecting materials following safety protocols.
• Dust, mop, and sweep offices, break areas, restrooms, common areas, or other assigned spaces.
• Clean and disinfect areas as per scope of work.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Inform supervisor or Area Manager when supplies are needed.
• Report any cleaning equipment that may need repair or replacement to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Notify housekeeping supervisor about any building hazards.
• Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Organize janitorial storage closet as needed.
• Secure all interior offices if applicable.
• Shut off all lights if required.
• Set alarm if applicable and secure the main entry door.
• Perform other duties as needed based on the scope of work.

Requirements

• Maintenance and/or cleaning experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Must be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Able to perform tasks that involve light lifting, bending, and stooping.
• Must maintain a strong awareness of safety at all times.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
