Cleaning Asociate

About the role

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care. Cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Operation of scrubber and buffer, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows
• Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards including maintenance and operation of scrubber and buffer
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms
• Adhere to company policies concerning Health and Safety (includes refilling essential items in Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End)
• Cross-trained in Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, and other store areas
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs
• Adhere to merchandising philosophy and signage standards
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day
• Adhere to operational and loss prevention controls including shrink reduction
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures, including Associate meal and break period policies
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor buffer and scrubber
• Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written; listens and responds appropriately
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Retail customer experience preferred

Pay

Starting pay range: $16.00 to $16.50 per hour. Actual starting pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
