POSITION TITLE: Cleaning and Deburring Operator I (Overnights 10pm to 6:30am)
LOCATION: Onsite at LSI Solutions in Victor, NY
HOURLY PAY: $22.00/hour + $3.00/hour overnight shift differential = $25.00/hour total
SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday at 10:00 PM through Saturday at 6:30 AM (Clean Room)
Job Summary
The Cleaning and Deburring Operator is responsible for using a variety of tools, fixtures, work instructions, test and cleaning equipment to perform secondary operations on precision components and operations to clean, test and package parts used for medical devices.
Essential Functions
- Perform precision deburring and polishing operations under a microscope.
- Work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
- Clean, passivate, and package parts in accordance with documented work instructions and procedures.
- Maintain consistent quality and workmanship of the components you process.
- Process paperwork accurately and neatly.
- Complete assignments in a timely fashion, staying on task, minimizing interruptions of work.
- Understand and comply with Quality System Requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow standard safety procedures and requirements.
- Able to work prolonged hours underneath a microscope.
- Report to work on time, including returning from breaks and lunch periods.
- Properly task in and out of work orders.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures per the LSI Solutions Employee Manual.
- Capable of searching and locating documents and work instructions in Grand Avenue Software (GAS).
Additional Responsibilities
- Support all Lean and improvement initiatives.
- Assist team members.
- Be helpful and encouraging.
Education & Experience
- Cleaning and Deburring Operator I, II: High School Diploma or GED. Proficient using a computer for simple to moderate tasks. Preferred experience with cleaning agents i.e. detergents, nitric acid. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Cleaning and Deburring Operator III: High School Diploma or GED. Proficient using a computer for simple to moderate tasks. Preferred experience with cleaning agents i.e. detergents, nitric acid. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to create SWI’s and perform TWI Training. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Cleaning and Deburring Operator I, II: Good hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity. Able to communicate with team members in a manner that results in a positive outcome for both sides. Able to work independently as well as alongside team members. Maintain good and cooperative relationships with colleagues involved in other aspects of the process or operations to promote strong teamwork. Attention to detail and task being performed to identify potential changes and/or problems with the process and products. Able to follow verbal and written instructions and consistently demonstrate compliance. Ask questions when unclear of direction or instructions. Able to inspect utilizing microscopes. Desire and demonstrate ability to produce 100% quality products all the time.
- Cleaning and Deburring Operator III: Ability to create SWI’s and perform TWI Training. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Cleaning Lab: Standing for several hours at a time. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 20 Lbs. Regularly required to talk and/or hear, see.
