We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across Council facilities.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning Council offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, break areas, and common spaces.
• Safely using cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with WHS requirements.
• Maintaining cleaning supplies and advising when stock replenishment is required.
• Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, or safety concerns to the Council Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and chemical handling procedures.
• An understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• The ability to work independently and take initiative.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Dependable and self-motivated individual.

• Physically capable of performing cleaning duties.

• Criminal History Check (recent within 3 months).
• Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
• Current Driver Licence.
• Ability to travel to remote Council facilities as required.
• Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all WHS requirements.
