Cleaner Long Term Sub position

About the role

This is a long term substitute position running from October 13, 2026 through approximately January 15, 2027. The role reports to the Head Custodian in the Custodial department and works closely with teachers, students, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned area.
• Floors – vacuums, mops, and scrubs.
• Bathrooms – clean and scrub daily.
• Walls and Boards – clean and scrub as needed.
• Clean desks and furniture.
• Windows – exterior room and building exterior, clean as needed.
• Empty garbage.
• Assist parents and other visitors to school buildings with special events and programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with school personnel, students, parents, and members of the community.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Physical requirements: continuously use hands and fingers to handle or feel, talk, and hear; frequently sit, stoop, kneel and/or crouch, reach with hands and arms; exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally; and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Pay

The long term sub rate for this position is $18.23 per hour.
