Cleaner/Housekeeper - Affinity at Bellingham
About the role
Axis Residential is seeking a people-focused Cleaner / Housekeeper for their 55 and older, active adult community - Affinity at Bellingham. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the community, building strong rapport with residents, and assisting with various maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a community culture focused on enhancing residents' way of life while providing excellent customer service and a supportive home environment.
- Build strong rapport with residents of the community.
- Clean offices, bathrooms, amenity spaces and common areas daily.
- Clean office spaces on a regular schedule that is set by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Use the apartment cleaning checklist to clean vacant apartment homes after each move out.
- Clean and organize the pool house, including straightening chairs on the pool deck, cleaning public bathrooms, and vacuuming and dusting amenity spaces.
- Remove used towels in the pool area and replace them with freshly laundered towels daily.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Assist in removing debris from outside public spaces, amenity spaces, and common areas, and empty public trash cans.
- Clean elevator cab, lobby, and door tracks as regularly scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Comply with all company policies/procedures and Fair Housing laws.
Requirements
- Customer service focused.
- Team player with a "we over me" approach.
- Determined, ambitious, and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills; proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Janitorial experience in hotel or residential management is strongly preferred.
- Computer skills to include email, Microsoft Office Suite, ability to navigate web-based trainings, and other various computer programs.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Reliable means of transportation.
Qualifications
- Standing: 5-7 hours/day.
- Walking: 3-6 hours/day.
- Lifting: generally, 25-50 lbs.
- Twisting: infrequent, 1-120 twists/day.
- Bending: moderate bending, 121-480 bends/day.
- Squat/Kneel: continuous, 3-7 hours/day.
- Climbing: 3-6 hours/day, stairs.
- Endurance: moderate energy requirements.
- Manual Dexterity: gross and fine frequent motor movement, either hand 31%-100% of job cycle time.
Skills
