About the role
The Clean & Packaging Technician is responsible for the cleaning, label printing, and packaging of both non-sterile and sterile medical devices.
Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
Responsibilities
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifies product according to production order ticket and direct part marking
- Identifies equipment malfunctions and reports needed repairs
- Follows all written procedures
- Actively promotes and supports continuous process improvement activities
- Completes process documentation in accordance with good documentation practices
- Performs additional processing steps as required by SAP route
- Ensures calibrated instruments are within calibration range
- Participates in the training of new employees
- Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Processing Roles & Responsibilities
Final Sterile Packaging- Consistently and accurately inspects, verifies, and reconciles orders and labels
- Inspects packaging for conformance with specifications
- Uses blueprints to determine packaging components and configurations
- Performs non-clean room activities for sterile product, including boxing and labeling, shrink wrapping, and external shipment operations
- Uses blueprints to identify cleaning process requirements
- Performs chemical titrations for the passivation procedure
- Maintains processing chemicals, including but not limited to, isopropyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide and citric acid
- Operates equipment to perform both the cleaning and passivation of medical devices
- Packages non-sterile product for storage in inventory
- Consistently and accurately inspects, verifies, and reconciles orders and labels
- Inspects packaging for conformance with specifications
- Operates automated packaging equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand and complete all paperwork
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Familiarity with basic computer use; Experience with Excel, Word & Outlook preferred
- Previous Packaging experience preferred
- Ability to understand and follow line-clearance procedure
- Self-motivated
