Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of and proficiency with subject matter
• Plans, prepares, and delivers lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning
• Plans and delivers instruction tailored to diverse learners
• Uses relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
• Understands and uses assessment to promote student learning
• Establishes an environment that promotes respect, rapport, and learning
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with students
• Communicates effectively with families, students, and colleagues

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in education or a specific subject area
• NYS Certification
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• The ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure student success
