Responsibilities
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellness of clients by delivering medications accurately, supporting hygiene, utilizing infection control procedures, and reporting serious incidents.
- Implement individual plans (Treatment Plan, IEP, ISP) by knowing clients’ strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences, and promoting achievement of behavioral and educational goals.
- Actively instruct clients to achieve education, residential, or ID Waiver goals, while collecting and documenting behavioral and instructional data.
- Provide a supportive and solution-focused environment by building trusting relationships, managing behavioral crises safely, and collaborating with the treatment team.
- Maintain a safe and organized residence/classroom, promote good nutrition, assist with meal preparation, provide transportation, and manage program/client finances as applicable.
- Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to Grafton’s mission, values, and vision through personal integrity, accountability, and knowledge of the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in human services; or an associate's degree and 3 months of experience working with children; or a high school diploma/G.E.D. and 6 months of experience working with children.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Moderate computer skills, including logging in, navigating the web, using Microsoft Word, and basic keyboarding.
Pay
Starting at $17 up to $22.00/hour based on experience and qualifications, with opportunities for overtime and shift differentials:
- $1.50/hr for weekday evenings and overnight shifts (3:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).
- $3.00/hr for weekend shifts (starting Friday 3:30 p.m. through Monday 7:00 a.m.).
