Classroom Floater - Early Childhood Learning Center

About the role

Christian Family Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable Classroom Floater to support their Family Care KIDS Preschool. This position offers an opportunity to grow in early childhood education while making a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

• Auxiliary with daily classroom routines (meals, diapering, toileting, transitions)
• Support teachers with activities and classroom organization
• Maintain a clean, structured, and welcoming environment
• Model positive behavior and guide children with age-appropriate techniques
• Communicate effectively with staff and support parent interactions
• Help maintain consistency across classrooms

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Full-time, Monday–Friday availability
• Reliable transportation
• At least 6 months of experience in a preschool or childcare setting

Preferred

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Certifications (or ability to obtain): CPR & First Aid, Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, Food Handler’s Card

• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Comfortable sitting on the floor, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Participation in indoor and outdoor activities
