Classroom Assistant I PT - Piano Accompanist

About the Role

The Hidden Valley Middle School is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative, and professional Piano Accompanist for the 26-27 school year. This position requires 17-hours per week to provide dedicated piano accompaniment for our three school choir classes. The ideal candidate will have excellent keyboard skills, strong sight-reading capabilities, and a passion for supporting student musicians in an educational environment. The accompanist works closely under the artistic direction of the Choir Director to facilitate daily rehearsals, sectionals, and scheduled school concerts.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated piano accompaniment for three school choir classes
• Facilitate daily rehearsals under the artistic direction of the Choir Director
• Support sectionals and scheduled school concerts

Qualifications & Salary Placement

• Lane 1 Step 1 ($17.53/Hour): Not Highly Qualified
• Lane 2 Step 1 ($18.51/Hour): Associate's degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university
• Lane 3 Step 1 ($19.55/Hour): Current/Former Licensed Teacher (Highly Qualified Information)
