Classroom Assistant for After School
About the role
Togetherhood is coming to Boston and we're looking for amazing teachers and assistants to support our classes. We've built an incredible network of over 400 teachers, coaches, and instructors in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and now we're expanding to Boston.

Responsibilities
You will be matched with opportunities to be a classroom assistant for 1-2 hour shifts at schools, buildings and communities across Boston. These classroom assisting opportunities will be for terms that could last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 weeks.
- Assist the primary classroom instructor in facilitating a great class
- Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!)
- Create memorable experiences for the children in your classrooms
Requirements
- Able to create positive class community and build relationships with students
- Has excitement, joy and passion for teaching kids and personal development/learning
- Cooperative, supportive, flexible
- Has a strong work ethic and do whatever it takes mind set
- At least two references
Qualifications
We welcome applicants with relevant experience working with kids. If you lack classroom experience, please share any other work you've done with kids, formal or informal.
Pay
Assistants in the Togetherhood network are paid per class. Most classes are one hour. This is contracted, supplemental 1099 work.
