Classroom Aide

Summary

Assist classroom teachers in obtaining education goals for students. Reinforce curriculum with small group of students or one-on-one. Supervise students in the classroom, lunchroom, on the playground, on field trips and getting on and off the bus. Assist teacher with clerical work, including grading assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of educational curriculum and teaching methods.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a background check.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic computer skills.
