About the role
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Classified Systems Administrator to oversee server and endpoint infrastructure supporting critical missions. This position requires a full-time, on-site presence in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and patch operating systems and applications
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies
- Maintain and monitor system performance and availability
- Respond to and resolve incidents, from Tier 1 user support through Tier 3 complex technical issues
- Administer, secure, and maintain a diverse infrastructure including: Windows Server/Desktop, Linux, and Virtualization
- Administer and improve endpoint protection, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities
- Develop PowerShell and Ansible scripts to automate administration and compliance tasks
- Evaluate and remediate security findings from Tenable (ACAS) and SCAP/STIG tools
- Maintain compliance with RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIG requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 6 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 10 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree or, 8 or more years of relevant experience with Master’s Degree
- Active Secret clearance
- DoD approved 8570 baseline certification such as Security+ or equivalent
- Proficiency with Windows Server/Active Directory and Windows Desktop
- Working knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs
- Demonstrated ability to remediate vulnerabilities identified by ACAS and SCAP tools
- Advanced degree/certifications
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Experience in designing, deploying, and securing complex IT architectures
- Ability to brief leadership and coordinate with stakeholders on technical solutions
- Project management skills and experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 6 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 10 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree or, 8 or more years of relevant experience with Master’s Degree
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMWare VSphere) and Cisco networking (IOS, Nexus OS)
- Experience automating repetitive tasks with scripting or DevOps tools
- Knowledge and experience deploying SPLUNK and other cyber tools
Skills
