Basic Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (Interim Secret required to start)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity (or related discipline) from an accredited college with related professional experience, or Master's degree in Cybersecurity
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III baseline certification (CISSP, CASP+, CCSP, CCNP-Security)
- Hands on technical experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools (Splunk, Nessus/Tenable/ACAS, STIGViewer/SCAP Compliance Checker/eSTIG, McAfee ePO, McAfee DLP)
- Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems, including administration, scripting, and troubleshooting of security controls on Linux-based servers and workstations.
Job Description

The Cybersecurity team partners with the security team, program, and government customers to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Classified Cyber Security Technologist, your responsibilities will include:
- Plan, implement, and monitor security measures to protect program data, systems, and networks.
- Enable appropriate security controls (e.g., access controls, encryption) to safeguard the organization’s data and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot technical security and network problems, leveraging tools such as Trellix for threat detection and remediation.
- Lead response to system or network security breaches, coordinating containment, investigation, and remediation activities.
- Participate in the change-management process, reviewing and approving security-related changes to configurations and architecture.
- Test and identify network and information-system vulnerabilities using Nessus scans; prioritize findings and drive mitigation efforts.
- Cook with the ISSM and IT lead to ensure systems are secure and technically ready for inspection or audit.
- Define verification requirements, validate security controls, and maintain up-to-date system design and security-architecture documentation.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain security monitoring solutions (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS) and Endpoint Protection Platform (EPO) for continuous endpoint visibility and protection.
- Integrate Trellix, EPO, and Nessus into the security monitoring ecosystem to provide comprehensive threat intelligence, endpoint hardening, and vulnerability management.
Desired Skills
- Proven automation expertise: hands-on experience developing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code and security automation using Ansible
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to streamline configuration, patching, and security-control deployment
- Previous experience supporting classified information systems
- Currently working in an environment supporting IC customers
- Knowledge of system accreditation requirements and NIST 800-53 (DAAG/JSIG) RMF implementation
- Experience implementing/validating STIG application, system hardening, analysis, and vulnerability management
- Knowledge of other security disciplines and how they impact and interact with information system security
- Experience implementing new and complex technologies at multiple classification levels within large environments and at an Enterprise level
- Ability to perform technical assessments for systems being presented to the government for authorization
- Ability to manage multiple projects in dynamic, demanding environments
