Classic TV Editor

This is a paid freelance remote position with ScreenRant, the #1 entertainment website publishing breaking news and exclusives on blockbuster movies, TV shows, comic books, and other forms of entertainment.

About the role

ScreenRant operates at a rapid pace and seeks experienced, passionate contributors to create original high-quality content. This role does not involve video production, video editing, screenwriting, or writing reviews. Familiarity with ScreenRant’s range of topics is expected.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and publish Classic TV features articles daily
• Participate in writer development by providing feedback and direction
• Work with new writers to develop their skills and adapt them to ScreenRant’s standards
• Ideate topics daily on major classic TV shows, including Star Trek, Sitcoms, Crime, and Prestige Dramas
• Develop content plans for upcoming major releases
• Attend meetings prepared with notes and analyses

Requirements

• Relevant experience in senior writing and editing roles (digital publications, entertainment content)
• Understanding of feature content
• Expert knowledge of Classic TV shows
• Quick learner with a strong sense of urgency
• Excellent command of the English language
• Ability to write articles free of typos and grammatical errors
