Class D Driver for Tire Collection

About the role

K&S Tire Recycling in Chicago Heights, IL is hiring Class D Drivers for local tire collection routes. Drivers must safely operate assigned vehicles AND physically collect and load tires at customer locations. This is not a driving-only job. Manual tire loading is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned company vehicles
• Complete scheduled customer pickup routes
• Manually load and unload used tires
• Roll, lift, carry and stack tires onto trucks
• Organize tires to maximize safe truck capacity
• Verify and document quantities collected
• Perform vehicle inspections
• Obtain customer signatures and required photos
• Communicate route/customer issues to dispatch
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle

Requirements

• Valid driver's license appropriate for assigned vehicle
• Previous experience driving 16 foot box truck or van
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to repeatedly lift and handle tires up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to manually load tires throughout the workday
• Ability to perform repetitive bending, lifting, pushing and pulling
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional customer-service skills
