Class B Delivery Driver

About the role

Early morning dispatch from Rogers, MN. Starting rate of $24/hour during brief training period. Component pay after training. 5 day work week within Monday–Saturday. Average 10–12 hour days. Dispatch times within 12 a.m.–5 a.m.; end times vary.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) and DOT inspections; report safety issues and repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; immediately report safety hazards.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; perform count checks and verify customer invoices.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly; move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders per predetermined route schedule; unload products into designated storage areas.
• Perform damage control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor about removing orders per company policy.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures; collect money where required.
• Load customer returns, secure trailer doors, and ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked/secured.
• Unload damaged goods and customer returns; bring to driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork.
• Unload equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers; complete daily hours-of-service log per DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Perform general housekeeping in tractor, loading dock, and keep trailers clear and clean.
• Secure all equipment at end of shift and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6 months commercial driving experience
• High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent
• Valid CDL-B
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Must be 21 years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Ability to hand-lift and use two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move/stack product cases/freight (typically 10–35 lbs up to 60–90 lbs depending on location)
