Role Overview
The Class B Commercial Driver / Warehouse Representative plays a vital role in supporting both transportation and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to deliver products and services to customers while also assisting with all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, material handling, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and provide exceptional customer service.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a company truck to deliver products and services to customers in compliance with all DOT and company regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections.
- Maintain accurate mileage, fuel, and delivery logs.
- Ensure all shipments include proper shipping documentation.
- Verify products are loaded, secured, and delivered accurately and on time.
- Meet and complete all regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers.
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, unload, store, and ship inventory items.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure products do not leave or enter the facility without proper documentation.
- Pull and prepare customer orders accurately to support on-time delivery.
- Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment.
- Utilize scales and measurements to accurately package and fill containers.
- Aid with dispatching activities and delivery coordination.
- Support inventory control processes and cycle counts.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain warehouse and facility cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
- Operate a manual pallet jack and move pallets weighing up to 3,200 pounds.
What You Bring To The Role
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse, logistics, transportation, or related experience.
- Valid CDL Class B driver's license with Hazmat endorsement.
- Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification can be obtained on the job if needed).
- Experience with inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Dispatching or delivery coordination experience preferred.
- Ability to repetitively bend, stoop, lift, and carry boxes and bags weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work overtime during seasonal peaks and business demands.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, stay productive, and manage priorities throughout the day.
- Strong initiative, dependability, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Your Digital & Technology Capabilities
- Basic proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Experience using handheld scanners, RF devices, or mobile technology for inventory and order fulfillment.
- Ability to accurately enter and maintain information in digital systems.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other digital communication tools.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, including AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency and workflow.
Compensation And Benefits
The base compensation for this position ranges from $19.38 to $25.85 per hour. Note that wages may vary based on skills and experience.
