Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class B CDL Roll-Off Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation, delivery, and pickup of roll-off containers at customer locations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating roll-off trucks, excellent customer service skills, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class B CDL roll-off truck in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Deliver, exchange, and remove roll-off containers at customer locations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
- Secure containers and verify proper placement at customer sites.
- Maintain accurate route, service, and inspection records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding service needs and schedule changes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Report equipment issues, accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned vehicle and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the company in a professional manner.
- Assist with other operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with acceptable driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Previous roll-off, waste, recycling, construction, or transportation experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate hydraulic equipment and roll-off systems.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to use electronic logging devices (ELDs), mobile applications, and route documentation systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently climb in and out of the truck cab.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
- Ability to safely perform duties in industrial, construction, and customer site environments.
Schedule
Monday – Friday with rotating Saturdays. Full-time.
