Class B CDL Delivery Truck Driver

Starting at $70,000+ annually, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus ($2,500 paid after 90 days, $2,500 paid after 180 days). Boots and uniforms provided by the company. Free product for employees.

About the role

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition. They are the face of our company, building lasting relationships with customers. The Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products safely and timely, in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring questions are answered accurately and timely. Functions as a team member and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip), including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; ensure compliance with company safety standards and report safety issues or repairs.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; immediately report safety hazards.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; perform count checks and verify customer invoices.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedules; unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
• Perform damage control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor about removing orders as per company policy.
• Verify delivery of items with the customer and obtain proper signatures; collect money (cash or checks) where required.
• Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors; ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked/secured.
• Unload damaged goods and customer returns; complete necessary paperwork.
• Unload equipment and materials, remove trash from trailers, and perform general housekeeping duties.
• Complete daily records of hours of service and log entries in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements.
• Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-B.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure a new one.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move/stack product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights (10–90 pounds) throughout the shift.

Pay
