Class A OTR Driver
About the Role
PET Dairy is seeking dependable CDL-A Route delivery truck drivers to operate a straight truck safely and efficiently and manually unload/deliver various dairy products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitudes and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

Responsibilities
- Drive Tractor Trailer and transport products from one location to another (plant, branch).
- Drop deliver to large accounts; non-driver-controlled order; deliver on a Tractor Trailer.
- Verify shipment accuracy and assure saleable condition of product.
- Transact proper documentation in computerized hand-held device or paper.
- Load/unload trucks.
- Resolve discrepancies and communicate major issues to Supervisor.
- Inspect equipment according to company and DOT regulations; Tractor, trailer, pallet jack, load bars, lift gates.
- Maintain a valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card. Report any moving violations to management immediately per Company and/or DOT regulations.
- Complete all daily DOT and customer paperwork including delivery tickets, pre and post trip inspections, driver logs, and vehicle service reports.
- Transport product across state lines, or if delivering intrastate, haul some products that originate in other states.
- Stock and/or rotate product in warehouse where required.
- Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Know and comply with all Department of Transportation regulations per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations handbook.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, including wearing all required PPE in designated areas.
- Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs, and food quality related to designated area. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Current DOT medical card.
Pay
$60,000–$70,000 per year.
