Class A or B CDL Driver Manual Transmission experience is required

About the Role

HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Penns Grove, NJ is looking for a Class A or B CDL Driver / Equipment Operator to join their safety-conscious team. The CDL Operator is responsible for the safe and proper execution of HPC Industrial jobs across all service lines, supervising and completing single-task jobs requiring one crew, and completing turnarounds with management oversight at client sites. Tanker & Hazmat endorsement is preferred, and a TWIC is required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative, ensuring compliance with company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Operate vacuum equipment, hydroblasting equipment, and special equipment like Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
• Handle duties associated with liquid vacs, air machines, and jet rodders.
• Direct a crew of vacuum technicians as needed.
• Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations.
• Complete pre and post-trip inspections, driver’s logs, and comply with DOT requirements.
• Load and unload hoses and vacuum trucks.
• Provide general maintenance in the field.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with no restrictions and ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements preferred.
• TWIC required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Experience operating vacuum trucks and related equipment.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment operation (e.g., fire extinguishers).
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with availability to travel.

Skills

• Proficiency in English to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
• Experience using a Smartphone.
• Working knowledge of wet and dry vacuum equipment operation.

Pay

$25.00 - $31.00 hourly

Schedule

Variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with travel requirements.
