Class A Driver (Local)

About the role

Jusczak Trucking is seeking an experienced local Class A driver to join their team. Positions are typically within a 200-mile radius of their various locations.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a Class A endorsement
• Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years
• Pass DOT physical exam and maintain DOT medical card registered with the state
• At least 5 years of Class A driving experience (or equivalent training) preferred
• Experience operating different equipment types such as flatbed, step deck, RGN, van, Conestoga, or over-dimensional freight
• No serious traffic violations in the past 3-5 years
• Pass pre-employment and random drug tests in accordance with DOT regulations
• Physical stamina to lift, load, and secure freight, and perform other physically demanding tasks up to 100lbs
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Strong communication skills to communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Moderate technology skills to use company dispatching software and a compatible smartphone
• Criminal background check passed
• Willingness to work flexible hours and follow dispatch information
• Safety-conscious commitment to safety standards and regulations
• Reliable and punctual work ethic
• Able to maintain logs and documentation

Qualifications

Experience operating different types of trucks and understanding the requirements of various freight types is highly valued. The ability to handle the physical demands of the job and maintain a clean driving record are essential.

Skills

Proficiency in using company dispatching software and a compatible smartphone is necessary. Strong communication and safety awareness are also crucial.
