About the role

As a Class A Driver, you will operate large commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers and flatbeds, ensuring the safe and timely transport of goods. You will collaborate with warehouse teams to prepare and securely load orders while maintaining a positive and safety-conscious work environment.

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan delivery routes, considering traffic, weather, and road conditions to ensure timely deliveries.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring items are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify mechanical or safety issues.
• Coordinate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules and provide updates as needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
• Adhere to hours-of-service regulations and take required breaks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure the vehicle and its cargo are properly secured and safe for operation at all times.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to ensure vehicles remain in optimal condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out, to uphold a professional appearance and ensure safety.

Requirements

• Valid California Class A Driver’s license with a "T" endorsement (doubles, triples, tankers).
• Manual transmission experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Medical Certification Clearance Card and FMSC Clearinghouse registration.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience operating Class A vehicles; previous delivery experience in wholesale products and warehouse environments strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of driving laws, regulations, and accident procedures.
• Ability to perform long hours of driving and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic English proficiency for reading, writing, and oral communication.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to sequence tasks effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; a combination of education and experience may qualify.
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM start time.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed.
