About the role
PACE Supply is a leading wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, and industrial supplies. We seek a Class A Driver to transport company inventory and materials between our Stockton, CA distribution center and branch locations in Idaho.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled transfers between company locations.
- Ensure Idaho deliveries arrive by 500 AM on Monday and Thursday mornings.
- Safely operate a new International sleeper-cab tractor.
- Pull and maneuver 53' curtain-side trailers and doubles/triples combinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation documentation.
- Properly secure cargo, including the use of chains and load securement equipment.
- Hook, unhook, inspect, and safely operate doubles/triples combinations.
- Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and branch personnel.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with doubles/triples endorsement.
- Minimum 2 years of Class A driving experience.
- Experience operating 53' curtain-side trailers or flatbed trailers.
- Experience with cargo securement, including chaining and load restraint procedures.
- Experience hooking and unhooking doubles/triples combinations.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
- Clean driving record and ability to meet company driver qualification standards.
- Ability to pass DOT-required drug and alcohol testing.
Qualifications
- Previous linehaul or transfer-route experience preferred.
- Experience operating sleeper-cab tractors preferred.
- Experience driving in mountain and winter-weather conditions preferred.

Pay
Compensation details will be determined at the Company's sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, qualifications, and other business considerations.
Schedule
- Position will require overnight travel.
- Driver will typically spend a minimum of two nights per week away from home.
- Regular routes will include transfers to Idaho twice per week.
- Weekly Travel & Work Schedule:
- Sunday: Leave Stockton - 600 PM
- Monday: Arrive in Nampa - 400 AM, Leave Nampa - 300 PM
- Tuesday: Arrive in Stockton - 100 AM, Work in Stockton - 300 PM to 1130 PM
- Wednesday: Leave Stockton - 600 PM
- Thursday: Arrive in Nampa - 400 AM, Leave Nampa - 300 PM
- Friday: Arrive in Stockton - 100 AM
- Saturday: Off
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to connect and disconnect trailers and associated equipment.
- Ability to secure loads and handle cargo securement equipment.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. as needed.
Environmental Conditions
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasional exposure to high, precarious places and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
