PACE Supply’s Oakland, CA branch is seeking experienced and dedicated Class A Drivers to join our team.
About the role
Class A Drivers at PACE Supply are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty vehicles to transport goods and materials. Drivers must adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations while following company policies and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles in a safe, responsible manner, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Plan efficient routes, maintain accurate records of deliveries, and communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure timely drop-offs.
- Handle cargo with care, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, report any maintenance issues promptly, and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
- Follow hours-of-service regulations, take required breaks, and ensure compliance with DOT standards.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and any required paperwork for compliance and tracking.
- Ensure the vehicle is properly secured before transit and maintain a clean, organized interior and exterior.
Requirements
- Valid Class A license with a "T" endorsement (doubles, triples, tankers) and clean driving record.
- Medical Certification Clearance Card.
- FMSC Clearinghouse registration.
- O.T Registered.
- Minimum of two years of previous delivery experience; wholesale products and warehouse environments preferred.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent is preferred; any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job qualifies.
- Must have manual transmission experience.

- Warehouse, plumbing, retail/customer service, and forklift experience is desirable but not required.
Work Environment
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly, including carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
- Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
