About the role
Delivery Driver responsible for safely transporting and delivering products to customers, unloading items according to specifications, and maintaining proper documentation and safety protocols. Operate tractor-trailers and other vehicles, including straight trucks, ensuring adherence to DOT and safety regulations.
Unload products by hand or using carts, placing items in designated customer storage areas while maintaining sanitation and food safety standards. Complete paperwork, logs, inspections, and invoices accurately and timely. Develop good customer relationships through courteous and clear communication. Follow safety procedures, handle hazardous materials, and operate equipment such as onboard computers and hand carts.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport and deliver products to customers
- Unload items according to specifications, using hand carts when necessary
- Place products in designated customer storage areas while maintaining sanitation and food safety standards
- Complete paperwork, logs, inspections, and invoices accurately and on time
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships through courteous communication
- Follow all safety procedures, including handling hazardous materials
- Operate equipment such as onboard computers and hand carts
- Adhere to DOT and safety regulations while driving tractor-trailers or straight trucks
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Knowledge of DOT and hazmat guidelines
- Preferred: Tractor-trailer driving experience or completion of a driving school
Qualifications
- Safe long-distance driving skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Basic math skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy loads
- Capable of performing load/unload tasks in various weather conditions
- Able to work independently and organize activities
- Maintain alertness during driving
Work Environment
