CLASS A DRIVER

The Class A Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to local businesses, loading and unloading products, and interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate company-owned truck
• Load and unload product from truck
• Verify deliveries with customers for accuracy
• Scan all products and obtain invoice signatures from customers upon delivery completion
• Follow the daily assigned itinerary, meet delivery schedules, and ensure timely deliveries to the correct address
• Fill out and submit the return sheet to Driver Check-In
• Communicate with routing, dispatch, and managers about any changes to deliveries, itineraries, injuries, vehicle, or routing issues
• Establish positive working relationships and communicate effectively with customers
• Follow all DOT regulations and safety protocols
• Comply with company timekeeping policies

Requirements

• Valid California Class A Driver License
• Prior Class A commercial driving experience is a plus
• Clean DMV record; must be able to submit a current 5-year DMV Driver's Record
• As of 1/6/2023, applicants must create a profile at fmcsa.dot.gov before being hired
• Employment offer contingent upon successfully passing a drug screen
• High level of customer service and attention to detail
• Good listening skills, verbal communication skills, and ability to follow manager instructions
• Successfully complete required background screenings
• Able to read and speak English sufficiently as required by the FMCSA
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to use lift gate, dollies/hand truck, scanners, and navigation
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, squat, turn/twist body, push and/or pull, stand, kneel, and walk

Working Conditions

• Customer-facing role requiring excellent customer service from warehouse to front door
• Safety-sensitive position with random, post-accident, and suspicion-based drug/alcohol tests
• Must be able to safely drive in adverse weather conditions

Schedule

Monday to Friday, with various start times ranging from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM. Start times and work hours will vary daily and are subject to change based on operational needs.

Pay

$32.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
