Class A Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable delivery of materials between company offices, jobsites and suppliers by following written and routine delivery instructions
• Operate company vehicles safely, including operation of Class A commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment
• Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations and company safety standards at all times
• Load, secure, transport and unload materials in a safe and timely manner
• Take delivery orders over the phone or through text message. Work efficiently to meet delivery schedules and project timelines
• Follow direction and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, management and suppliers

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of driving experience, Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred
• Towing experience is preferred
• Ability to operate company vehicles (truck, van and Class A vehicles) for extended periods in varying conditions
• Strong understanding of safe driving practices and applicable DOT regulations
• Clear, respectful and effective communication/interactions with internal and external personnel
• Proficient with smartphone, GPS systems and map applications; ability to plan efficient routes
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively

Additional Requirements

• Required to possess and maintain valid, clean Class A California Driver's License
• Required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
• If needed, available for overtime on weekdays and weekends

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry minimum 50 pounds
• Standing, driving for long periods of time
