About the role
This position offers predictable routes, weekly home time, newer automatic equipment, and competitive compensation with performance incentives.
Responsibilities
- Operate newer tractors with automatic transmission
- Load boxes onto an onboard conveyor/roller system
- Store personnel handle unloading from the conveyor
- Drive East and North Central regional lanes, mostly Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday work
- Work day or night shifts as required
- Earn average earnings of $1,700 - $1900 per week (varies by miles and stops)
- Earn additional pay of $20 per stop, $240 unload pay per trailer, and $100/week safety bonus for delivering two loads with no accidents/incidents
Requirements
- Age 21 or older with a valid Class A CDL
- At least 6 months of recent, verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Fair driving record with no major accidents, major citations, or license suspensions within the past 5 years
- No DUI convictions within the past 5 years
- No involuntary termination from most recent employment
- Stable work history (generally no major gaps in employment over the past 10 years); at least 6 months of verifiable work in the last year and at least 1 year within the last 3 years
- Able to pass pre-employment urine and hair drug screens
- Reside within 70 miles of Chesapeake, VA
