Class A CDL Truck Driver

Position Summary

Livestock Nutrition Center, a leading regional feed manufacturer, is seeking a qualified candidate with a Class A CDL to join our team. This position involves operating heavy trucks and trailers to deliver bulk feed, bagged feed, and feed supplements to customers within a 200-mile radius.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Safely deliver LNC livestock feed products to customers as directed and collect payment for goods delivered and delivery charges as needed.
• Maintain relationships with customers by displaying a professional and courteous attitude.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues, and ensure proper maintenance.
• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
• Communicate with supervisor to receive delivery instructions and update on progress.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while adhering to company policies and regulations.
• Operate hydraulic systems on trailers, set up trucks for appropriate delivery, and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations to management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver with a minimum of 2 years.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Ability to work weekends and on a rotating and seasonal basis.
• Physically capable of operating the type of CMV intended to drive.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (Electronic logs, GPS).
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• No criminal offenses involving a commercial vehicle.
