CLASS A CDL DRIVER (SHUTTLE) - JACKSON, MS

About the Role

Imperial Trading Co., LLC is seeking highly motivated and skilled CDL Class A Route Drivers to join our team in Jackson, MS. Delivery drivers will deliver to convenience stores locally and in nearby states. This is a local route position, not an over-the-road driver role. The company has been in business for over 100 years and is one of the nation's largest food distributors.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a safe manner in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, remaining vigilant to detect unexpected road conditions, distracted drivers, and motorists unfamiliar with commercial vehicles.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle (truck, tractor, etc.) and equipment; report any defects to management immediately.
• Follow accurate and efficient product delivery procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
• Must pass a drug test and road test.
• Acceptable driving record based on DOT and company insurance mandates.
• Compliance with DOT's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse provisions.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly climb ladders or ramps.
• Frequently talk, hear, and use hands to touch, handle, or feel.
• Regularly stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly lift 20-40 pounds and occasionally lift 50 to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
