Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth, on-time delivery processes.
- Secure transportation and delivery of various cargo types, focusing on hazardous materials.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations (DOT, OSHA, industry-specific standards).
- Enforce best practices for handling and transporting specialty chemicals.
- Lead efforts within the operations to maintain DOT and safety compliance.
- Oversee equipment operation, ensuring proper inspections before, during, and after trips.
- Ensure operators meet necessary qualifications and safety standards.
Requirements
- Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements.
- TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card.
- 2 years of recent experience driving a tractor-trailer, chemical tanker, or similar.
- Ability to operate a 10-speed manual transmission.
- At least 23 years old.
- Must possess and maintain a DOT Physical.
- No MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) violations in the past 3 years.
- No major accidents.
- No DUI/DWI offenses.
- Must live within 25-mile radius of Houston, TX and commute to our yard for pick-up of equipment in Houston, TX.
Schedule
- 70 hours per week or as close to that as possible with a 34-hour restart.
- On call based on load availabilities.
- Vehicles will be sleeper equipment.
