Class A CDL Driver - Part Time

About the Role

We are seeking a Driver to support distribution center operations by efficiently delivering hardware-related merchandise to Orgill, Inc. customers, transporting returned items or equipment back to the distribution center, and shuttling merchandise to consolidation facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations to deliver products to customers.
  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
  • Maintain electronic logs and other documentation applicable to company, state, and federal regulations.
  • Secure cargo for transport using load bars, ratchet straps, and pipe arms.
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip daily inspections.
  • Plan daily assigned trips with strong organizational skills.
  • Meet deadlines and ensure promptness for scheduled deliveries.

Requirements

  • Current possession and ability to maintain a Class A CDL; must obtain hazmat endorsement and doubles endorsement within 90 days of employment (company reimbursed).
  • Excellent MVR and must pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass Orgill's physical assessment evaluation.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Able to walk, reach, bend, push, pull, stoop, squat, climb, grasp, and lift as necessary for vehicle inspections and coupling/uncoupling.
  • Able to maneuver items weighing over 75 pounds using appropriate equipment (e.g., manual pallet jack, unloading freight by hand).
  • Two years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience preferred.
  • Commitment to high standards of safety.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
